In Sevastopol, a specialist-expert of the Department of Internal Affairs placed more than 100 foreigners on fictitious registration at their place of residence

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against a specialist-expert of the migration department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district.
She is charged under Part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of official powers) and Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at the place of stay in the Russian Federation). According to the investigation, in April — September 2022, abusing her official powers, an employee of the migration department illegally registered 111 citizens of Central Asian countries at their place of stay in the Russian Federation in the absence of the necessary documents in a non-residential premises, where in fact they could not reside,” noted the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
A criminal case was initiated based on materials from the prosecutor’s investigation in cooperation with the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The investigation was carried out by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Persons illegally registered with migration authorities subsequently left the territory of Russia.
Currently, the city prosecutor’s office has sent the criminal case to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
