In Sevastopol, a 40-year-old local resident was detained for committing an act of vandalism at the Memorial to the Heroic Defenders of Sevastopol 1941- . The “lady”, being quite drunk, threw commemorative wreaths into the Eternal Flame.
A man who reported the incident to law enforcement agencies became an eyewitness to the incident. Employees of the private security service of the Russian Guard arrived at the scene, detained the attacker and handed over to the police patrol service for further investigation. The conducted medical examination established that the malefactor was in a state of alcoholic intoxication. Previously, a woman has already been prosecuted for robbery and public insult of a representative of the authorities , — reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The actions of the detainee show signs of a crime under Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Vandalism”). The issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
The police interviewed eyewitnesses of the incident, seized and studied recordings from CCTV cameras. Currently, further measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
