CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gagarinsky district are conducting a preliminary investigation into a criminal case regarding the sale of products without special labeling provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
It was established that a 38-year-old individual entrepreneur from Simferopol, engaged in the sale of clothing and shoes, purchased a large batch of unmarked shoe products in another region of Russia for subsequent sale in three rented stores in Sevastopol. During the operational-search activities, the illegal activities of the businessman were stopped by employees of the Economic Security and Internal Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol. As a result of the searches, the police discovered and seized illegal goods that were being sold — more than 800 pairs of shoes with a total value of about 4.5 million rubles, — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the businessman under Part 1 of Art. 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Production, acquisition, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products without labeling and (or) application of information provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.” The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to three years.
