In Sevastopol, pyrotechnicians of the Ministry of Emergency Situations carried out an operation to neutralize a large munition from the times of the Great Patriotic War. An explosive object was found in the area of ​​the Rodnik horticultural partnership. Employees of the Specialized Detachment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, who arrived at the site, identified the find as an aerial bomb weighing 250 kilograms — German SD-72. Its condition and type of fuse made it possible to transport it for destruction at a specialized training ground.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol and the forces of the RSChS of the region were transferred to the emergency mode. In the shortest possible time, a meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety of the City of Sevastopol was held, a set of measures necessary for the successful conduct of the operation was developed, the emergency department noted.

The area was cordoned off, traffic on the surrounding roads was suspended. An interdepartmental operational headquarters was deployed near the border of the danger zone, the collection and transmission of information from the site was carried out by employees who were part of the operational group. The situation was monitored from the air by specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia using unmanned aerial vehicles.

The complexity of the operation was that the ammunition was located directly in the zone of private development: a few meters from residential buildings. From the adjacent streets were evacuated 32 person, including child. Local residents were informed about the need to leave the dangerous area using a mobile broadcasting and warning complex. On buses provided by the Sevelectroavtotrans enterprise, they were delivered to a temporary accommodation center deployed on the basis of the Moskva cinema. All communications located in the zone of possible damaging effects were previously disabled , — said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.

In compliance with all the necessary safety rules, the explosive object was loaded on board a special vehicle and, accompanied by the traffic police crew, was delivered to the place of destruction.

At the training ground of the Sevastopol emergency department, an aerial bomb was eliminated by a controlled detonation. The operation proceeded normally. There was no damage to the population and infrastructure. In general, from emergency services and departments took part in the operation 121 person and pieces of equipment.
