In Sevastopol, pyrotechnicians of the Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated an emergency
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The fuse was destroyed on the spot, the bomb itself — at a special training ground.
In Sevastopol, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry successfully carried out another operation to eliminate an explosive object from the times of the Great Patriotic War.
The task was not an easy one: to destroy the ammunition and its fuse not simultaneously, as is usually done, but separately. It was possible to carry out the measures thanks to the coordinated actions of the pyrotechnicians of the emergency department and other emergency services.
The formidable artifact was discovered during earthworks on May 16 in the Balaklavsky district of Sevastopol along Svyazistov Street. Information about him was received by the operational duty shift of the TsUKS of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia at 10:15 from the pyrotechnicians of the Specialized Detachment. Based on the results of a survey of the find and a study of the situation, it turned out that a German-made SC-50 air bomb weighing 50 kilograms is located in a private building area — while the state of the fuse does not allow transportation. It was decided to separate it and destroy it autonomously right on the spot, and transport the bomb to the firing range for elimination. The preliminary measures to remove the fuse were skillfully carried out by the engineering and technical group of the OMON «Berkut-S» of the National Guard. After that, the specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations began blasting— told the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations functioned in emergency mode. Ensuring the safety of the population and infrastructure was carried out by representatives of relevant departments of the government of Sevastopol, as well as emergency departments and organizations. Communications, located dangerously close to the site, were disabled. Monitoring of the situation from the air was carried out with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Through a mobile broadcasting and notification complex, residents of the nearest streets were informed of the need to leave the dangerous territory for the period of the events.
All events were held in a regular mode in accordance with safety standards. There was no damage to the population and infrastructure. Dangerous ammunition from the Great Patriotic War destroyed.
