In Sevastopol, the additional payment to the pension is now with the status of «regional»

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Since January 2023 in Sevastopol, the social supplement to pensions has become regional, not federal. Now it will be paid by the social security authorities — previously the Pension Fund was responsible for this. Residents of the city received the supplement for January this month.

In December last year, the pension for January was paid to pensioners ahead of schedule without a federal surcharge, as it was replaced by a regional one. Now the additional payment has already been received, in the future it will be synchronized with the payment of the pension. Starting from February, pensioners will receive a regional supplement at the same time as their pension , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Vice Governor Alexander Kulagin.

Non-working pensioners receive a social supplement to their pension if the total amount of their material support does not reach the pensioner’s subsistence level. In Sevastopol in 2023 year it is 12 486 rubles. The amount of the supplement is equal to the difference between the pensioner’s subsistence minimum and the amount of material support.

Regional social supplement to the pension will be established for citizens without application from the day the pension is awarded. No additional documents and applications are required to be submitted to the social security authorities , — emphasizes Lyudmila Vorobyeva, Deputy Head of the Social Payments Department of the Department of Labor and Social Protection.

14 Sevastopol residents received such a social supplement to their pensions in January.
