In Sevastopol, the State Traffic Inspectorate detained a taxi passenger transporting a synthetic drug

In the evening, the crew of the traffic police service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol received information that a man was traveling in one of the taxi cars, who may have prohibited substances on him.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate quickly found and stopped the specified car for inspection. The information received was confirmed: during a personal search in the presence of witnesses, one of the passengers, a 39-year-old resident of Inkerman, had a zip bag with beige powder in his jacket pocket and seized. The man said that the contents are a synthetic drug, which he acquired contactlessly in the shadow segment of the Internet and kept for personal use.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The result of the forensic examination confirmed that the seized substance was a narcotic drug — methylephedrone.
For illegal trafficking of prohibited substances, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to three years.
