In Sevastopol, they honored the memory of combatants who performed their duty outside the Fatherland

The memory of internationalist soldiers was honored in Sevastopol. A commemorative event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the Day of Remembrance of Russians who served outside the Fatherland, was held in the Square of Internationalist Soldiers.
Participants in the Afghan war, representatives of public and veteran organizations, authorities, military personnel, police officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and cadets gathered to remember their compatriots who took part in armed conflicts in different parts of the world, as well as to honor the memory of fallen heroes.
According to the press service of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, the chairman of the city economy committee, member of the Sevastopol RO VOOV “Combat Brotherhood” Vyacheslav Kamzolov, took part in the event from the city parliament. The deputy laid flowers in memory of those who did not return from that war.
Today we remember our heroes who died in Afghanistan. Participants in combat operations and internationalist warriors are a living example of heroism and courage, selfless service to the Motherland. Their actions set a high moral standard, and they themselves are an example for the younger generationsaid Vyacheslav Kamzolov.
The parliamentarian also emphasized the active role of combat veterans in the patriotic education of youth.
