In Sevastopol, traffic inspectors and their young assistants took part in the “St. George’s Ribbon” campaign
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of the celebration of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate, specialists from the Center for the Prevention of Child Road Injuries and the Judicial Injury Unit No. 24 supported the All-Russian annual event “St. George’s Ribbon”.
As part of the patriotic event held on Ushakov Square, young traffic inspectors and traffic police congratulated passers-by and public transport passengers. On the eve of the holiday, schoolchildren prepared symbolic cards with their own hands. With each postcard, made sincerely and with love, the guys conveyed the symbol of Victory Day — St. George’s ribbons, as a sign of their respect for history, for veterans, for the memory of those who fell on the battlefields, as well as gratitude to those who won the Great Patriotic War— said the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sevastopol.
Young traffic inspectors also handed out information leaflets and reminded motorists and pedestrians of the need to strictly adhere to traffic rules, speed limits and transport children only using special restraints.
Such events not only help preserve and pass on the memory of the feat to generations, they also help foster respect for the history of their country and for those who defended it in difficult times. Young people taking part in such initiatives gain a new level of understanding and respect for the importance of history and patriotism.
