The initiative to assign the names of heroes to educational institutions was made by the labor collectives of schools. So, Simferopol school No. 8 will be named after Alexandra Andreevna Voloshinova, and school No. 35 will be named after Evgenia Filippovna Deryugina.

Voloshinova Alexandra Andreevna teacher, natural science teacher, lived in Simferopol. During the German occupation of Crimea in 1941-1944. was the responsible organizer and leader of the largest patriotic organization of the Crimean underground in the city, which was stationed on the territory of schools and hospitals, was engaged in reconnaissance and sabotage work. The group carried out combat missions of distributing Soviet literature around the city, collecting intelligence about the enemy and his military facilities, and organizing acts of sabotage on the railway. March 7, 1944 Voloshinova Alexandra Andreevna was arrested. In the Gestapo, after severe torture, she was shot— told the press service of the administration of Simferopol.

Deryugina Evgenia Filippovna served in the military since 09/01/1941 in parts of the Black Sea Fleet. Participated in the defense of the city of Odessa as a medical instructor. She was wounded and evacuated to Sevastopol. She died in the battles for Sevastopol on May 12, 1944. Heroism E.F. Deryugina was immortalized on one of the fragments of the diorama «Assault on the Sapun Mountain on May 07, 1944» in Sevastopol.
