The action «Yolkovorot» was held on the territory of the entire Crimean peninsula, within the framework of which residents could hand over New Year’s «beauties» for recycling. In Simferopol, the action took place in two stages: 15 and on January 21 New Year tree collection point. On the first day, the residents handed over 338 fir trees and pines, and on the second day, 546 trees were collected.
Further harvested trees will be processed to create essential oils, animal feed and bedding, and the wood will be made into mulch to improve soil fertility and health and reduce weed growth. Assistance in collecting on the territory of the city was provided by 50 volunteers , — the press service of the Simferopol administration reported.
