In Simferopol, the prosecutor’s office of the Zheleznodorozhny district supported the investigator’s request to seize the vehicle as part of a criminal investigation under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subjected to administrative punishment for a similar act).
Earlier, police department No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol opened a criminal case against a 36-year-old resident of the region. The man is accused of being brought to administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated, and in early October of this year, after drinking alcohol, he began driving a Nissan Qashqai.

Since criminal law provides for the possibility of confiscation of a vehicle belonging to the accused and used by him in committing a crime, the decision of the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol granted the request for seizure.
