In the Crimea, an open water swim took place in the category «Masters», dedicated to the «Day of the Athlete»

13 August in honor of the «Athlete’s Day» in in the waters of the Kerch Strait, on the territory of the Moscow-Krym sanatorium, an open water swim took place in the Masters category. Athletes from Kerch, as well as representatives of the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Novorossiysk and Sevastopol, entered the distance of one and a half kilometers.

All 13 of the participant overcame a distance of 1.5 km, which consisted of three laps in 50 meters, the oldest athlete who finished the distance was Roman Gembarsky (Novorossiysk) — 81 year.

The absolute best results were shown by:

for men

  • 1st place — Mikhail Rylsky (Moscow) – 21.;
  • 2nd place — Dmitry Andreev (Sevastopol) — 13.0064;
  • 3rd place — Sergey Khomyakov (Sevastopol) — 13.50.

women

  • 1st place — Tatiana Sharun (Sevastopol) — 21.10;
  • 2nd place — Nina Bulgakova ( Kerch) — 28.46;
  • 3rd place — Svetlana Vetokhina (Kerch) – 28.29 .
