In 2023, 900 people received free social services for long-term care at home, and 930 people this year. This year, the work of “schools of care” will be organized on the basis of social service institutions. Similar work on the development of the long-term care system will be continued within the framework of the national project “Family”says the response to the request, signed by First Deputy Minister Tatyana Gudilko.
It is noted that since September 2023, the region has been included in the pilot for the implementation of a long-term care system for elderly citizens and disabled people in need of care, a roadmap for its implementation has been developed, territorial centers have been created, and trainings or “care schools” have been conducted.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking with a report in the State Duma, said that the long-term care system in Russia will be developed within the framework of the new national project “Family”.
Help for centenarians
The ministry noted that the republican authorities also provide assistance to centenarians. Upon reaching 100 years of age, they are paid a one-time payment of 50 thousand rubles. The region is home to 199 people who are 100 years of age or older, of whom 44 are men and 155 are women. In general, the average life expectancy in the republic in 2023 was 72.8 years and increased by 0.8 years compared to 2022.
In general, the population in the Republic of Crimea over working age is 497,058 people or 25.9% of the total population of the region.
