In Yalta — the city festival of historical dance

The festival is dedicated to a significant historical event — the 240th anniversary of the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Empire. The organizers of the festival were the Department of Culture of the Administration of the city of Yalta, the Municipal Budgetary Institution of Culture «Yalta Centralized Club System», branch No. 2 «Nikitsky Center of Culture», the folk club of historical dance «Feeriya».
The festival was traditionally attended by choreographic groups, historical dance clubs and individual participants from the cities of the Republic of Crimea. The festival was held in the form of a historical ball and consisted of 3 dance sections, including a program of demonstration dances. The dance program of the ball included dances of the 18th and 19th centuries: polonaise, minuet, mazurka, waltz, country dance, polka, square dance, march— reported the press service of the administration of Yalta.
A master class was organized for the participants of the festival on the topic: “Methods of performing the main movements of the ballroom mazurka”, which was conducted by a choreographer, choreographer, teacher, associate professor of the choreography department of the Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism, member of the Public Council under the Department of Culture of the city of Sevastopol, Honored Artist Ukraine, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Nikolaevich Slonchenko.
For participation in the program of demonstration dances, the participants of the festival were awarded diplomas and cups in a solemn atmosphere.
