The number of payments in remote channels of RNKB for the first time exceeded 800 thousand per day

RNKB Bank, part of the VTB Group, in June 2023 recorded a record number of daily payments in the RNKB 24/7 mobile application and Internet banking. This figure for the first time exceeded 800 thousand per day — the peak value was 819 thousand. At the same time, the average daily number of payments in remote service channels is more than 600,000. For comparison, at the beginning of the year this indicator averaged 570,000 payments per day. In total, last month, users made more than 18 million payments by individuals in the RNKB mobile application and Internet bank in the amount of about 57 billion rubles, which is 31% more than in January 2023.

It should be noted that the growth in the number of payments is mainly due to the constant expansion of the functionality of the bank’s mobile application and the increase in the number of active users. So, the new function of registering the delivery of products from the supermarket using a mobile application, which takes place in just a few clicks, is popular. In addition to the possibility of obtaining cash loans and opening deposits, the application has a section for buying tickets for intercity bus flights without visiting the ticket office of the bus station. And more recently, in a mobile application, they got the opportunity to purchase tickets for exhibitions, concerts and cinemas using the Kassa 24 service.

One of the priorities of the bank’s work is the development of financial literacy of the population, thanks to which clients learn how to work with remote service channels, and can also appreciate the benefits of using financial services outside the bank’s offices— quotes the press service of the Deputy Chairman of the Board Nikolai Bilan.

The most popular payments include payment for utilities and communication services, as well as intra-bank transfers and replenishment of bank cards. At the same time, the number of utility providers for which the user of the RNCB 24/7 application can see the debt in real time is constantly increasing.
