Investigators caught employees of the Sevastopolgaz enterprise in overstating prices and tariffs

According to the press service of the regional department of the Sledkom, a criminal case has been initiated and is being investigated on the fact of embezzlement of funds by deceiving officials of Sevastopolgaz PJSC using their official position (part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) .

The investigative department for the Leninsky district of the city of Sevastopol found that employees of the enterprise, using the ignorance of the owners of plots of horticultural partnerships about the amount of payment for connection to gas distribution networks, persuaded them to conclude connection agreements at inflated prices. In addition, the contracts concluded by PJSC Sevastopolgaz with the owners of land plots had to be executed in a tripartite manner with the involvement of a regional operator — GUPS Sevastopolgaz as a party to the transaction, which was not fulfilled by PJSC officials , — reported in Investigative Committee.

Violations of the law were revealed during the prosecutor’s check. Currently, the investigating authorities are establishing the injured citizens, the amount of damage caused to them, as well as the circle of officials of Sevastopolgaz PJSC involved in this illegal scheme.
