Kerchanin sentenced to 9 years in prison for setting up drug stashes
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Kerch City Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a 34-year-old local resident. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, the Kerchan resident was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, pp. “a”, “b” part 3 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed using information and telecommunication networks (including the Internet), by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
It was established that the convict became a member of a criminal group engaged in the illegal sale of narcotic drugs in the territory of the Republic of Crimea via the Internet. In October 2023, a man illegally purchased the narcotic drug N-methylephedron, which he packaged into small quantities and prepared for further sale. He managed to equip 1 cache with a prohibited substance, immediately after which he was identified and detained by internal affairs officers— reported the prosecutor’s office.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the man to 9 years in prison to be served in a high-security correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
