Winter on the Crimean Peninsula this year may be with weather anomalies. The air temperature will be generally close to last year’s figures, but its fluctuations may be sharp, which is associated with changes in forecast models. This opinion was expressed by Igor Vakhrushev, Associate Professor of the Tourism Department of the Crimean Federal University.
The global circulation of the atmosphere changes slightly on the peninsula. If earlier temperature drops were less noticeable, now changes can occur abruptly. In addition, such anomalies can arise as a result of the influence of permanent atmospheric fronts that separate air masses. Due to global warming, average climatic temperatures are growing slightly, and the influence of fronts begins to decrease, which also makes it possible for air masses to break through to those regions for which they are not inherent , — quotes the press service of Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism Krymsky Igor Vakhrushev Federal University.
The specialist also noted that global warming also affects the seasons of the year. According to him, this does not mean that the summer will become hotter and the winter more severe. At this stage, the Earth’s climate is becoming sharper, with weather anomalies in the form of an abrupt change in air temperature.
