The head of the Crimean Ministry of Health explained to the employees further plans for the development of cancer care in the region.

Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea Konstantin Skorupsky together with the chief physician of the Crimean Republican Oncological Clinical Dispensary named after V.M. N. I. Pirogov ”Marat Enikeev met with the team of the Kerch branch of the KROKD named after. V.M. Efetova.

The head of the Crimean Ministry of Health explained to the employees further plans for the development of oncological care in the Republic of Crimea and, in particular, for the functioning of this service in Eastern Crimea.

So, in the structure of the Kerch branch of the KROKD them. V.M. Efetov, within the framework of the regional project «Fight against oncological diseases» of the national project «Health», it is planned to create an outpatient cancer care center this year, which includes a day hospital.

On the basis of the CAOP, patients, as before, will have access to all the necessary outpatient care in the field of oncology, including high-quality diagnostics — examinations on computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, etc.

The opening of the CAOP will increase the availability of antitumor drug therapy and radiation therapy, as well as expand the range of surgical interventions performed in a day hospital. In addition to the treatment of malignant tumors, outpatient surgeries will be performed on the basis of the medical organization, including for benign neoplasms of the skin and breast, for example, papillomas, fibromas, limpomas, fibroadenomas and cysts. Previously, local residents with such pathologies were sent to other medical organizations, which complicated their routing and increased the time for providing medical care.— said Konstantin Skorupsky.

In more complex cases requiring surgical treatment and a long stay of patients in a medical institution, they will be sent to the oncology dispensary of the city of Simferopol, where all departments are narrow-profile (specializing in one profile of medical care).

Such routing will ensure high quality of medical care, since the patient will be operated on by a doctor specializing in the treatment of tumors of a specific localization.— explained the Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea.

Also, the head of the Crimean Ministry of Health said that the issue of reducing the staff of the Kerch branch of the KROKD named after. V.M. Efetova is not considered.

Moreover, in connection with the creation of the Center for Outpatient Cancer Care, the level of salaries of employees will increase.— said Konstantin Skorupsky.
