The Livadia Palace celebrated the 30th anniversary of its activity as a museum institution.
At the gala event, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Olga Burova, on behalf of Minister Tatyana Manezhina, congratulated the staff of the institution and the guests of the event on this significant date, and noted the uniqueness of the Livadia Palace.
The Livadia Palace Museum, while maintaining traditional forms of presenting excursion material and presenting cultural values, successfully applies new work formats: immersive excursions, literary and musical evenings, concerts and film screenings, effectively using a synthesis of various art directionsshe noted.
In connection with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Livadia Palace Museum, employees were presented with well-deserved awards, wishes for active and fruitful work, an increase in museum collections, new discoveries, interesting exhibitions and displays were expressed.
An exhibition about the 30-year work of the museum in the Livadia Palace was presented to all those present; among the exhibits are unique photographs, documents, and awards. Museum books published for the years 1993-2023 are also presented.
The guests continued to get acquainted with the extensive stock collection of the Livadia Palace Museum, including new acquisitions.
The Musical Salon of the palace hosted a performance of the play “Letters to the Emperor” performed by artists of the “City” Theater from the Moscow region.
The event was attended by friends, partners, colleagues and former employees, museum veterans who made a significant contribution to the formation and prosperity of the Livadia Palace as a cultural, exhibition and scientific and educational center.
Let us recall that on November 1, 1993, by order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, a museum institution, the “Livadia Palace Museum,” was established on the basis of the Livadia historical and artistic exhibition complex of the Livadia sanatorium.
Historical and architectural ensemble State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Livadia Palace Museum» consists of a complex of buildings of the Livadia Palace (Grand Palace, Suite Corps, Fredericks Palace), built by the architect Nikolai Krasnov for the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II, the Livadia Park-monument of landscape gardening art (part of the park), and the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross.
Today the Livadia Palace Museum is a popular museum, a world-famous monument of history and culture. A number of key international meetings of political, cultural and scientific figures take place within its walls. Foreign and government delegations arriving in Crimea as part of official visits include a visit to the Livadia Palace in their program.
The main subject of the museum’s activities is the accounting and preservation of museum collections, monuments of cultural heritage, their protection and restoration, scientific research, publishing, exhibition and exposition, excursion, educational activities, the formation and preservation of collections, holding scientific conferences, international symposiums, organizing cultural tourism, creating conditions for cultural recreation and leisure.
During 2014-2023, the museum was visited by over 2 million people, 208 exhibitions were held, of which 20 were inter-museum projects, about 950 cultural and cultural and educational events were organized, in which about 120 thousand people took part, the funds were replenished with 850 new items and amount to 6,450 units.
