Medal in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Russian Spring in Sevastopol: award procedure

In Sevastopol, by order of Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, a competition was held for the sketch of the medal “In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the return of Sevastopol to Russia,” within the framework of which, among other things, the regulations on the procedure for awarding the medal were approved.

The medal will be awarded to participants in the events of the Russian Spring for their personal contribution to the return of Sevastopol to Russia, the preparation and conduct of the referendum, as well as a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the city. Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev presented the first medals on February 23 — Defender of the Fatherland Day and the tenth anniversary of the People’s Will rally.

The director of the city’s internal policy department, Sergei Bezdolny, spoke about how one can submit an application for an anniversary medal and about the award procedure. He also shared what the work of the commission was like to select the best design for the medal.

This competition evoked a lively response from Sevastopol residents. It was a pleasure to participate in the work of the commission. A large number of applications were from children. And this is one of the main achievements of the Russian Spring — that its peers are making sketches of medals filled with meaningful meaning, — emphasizes the head of the department.

To receive a medal, you must submit an application and a brief description of your achievements to the Department of Internal Policy of Sevastopol. The petition is submitted by authorized persons. The initiative to award the medal may be submitted by federal authorities, executive authorities, deputies of the Legislative Assembly, local governments, the Public Chamber, public organizations and other organizations.
