Ministry of Industry of Crimea — about the «strategic reserves» of buckwheat, rice and sugar

The Ministry of Industry of Crimea reports: intermediary chains in the work of retail facilities of the republic have been minimized. The Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea reported that the work of retail business entities is organized directly with large wholesale organizations, which allows minimizing the trade margin, which, in some cases, could exceed the purchase price of the goods.
The demand for sugar and buckwheat has decreased several times. The volume of sales returned to the previous “pre-rush” demand. To date, sugar reserves are 295 tons, buckwheat — 163 tons, rice — 138 tons, sunflower oil — 79 tons, which corresponds to 14 trading days, the ministry said.
Also, the Crimean Ministry of Industry worked out the issue of centralized supply of sunflower oil from the Krasnodar Territory.
In addition, the department believes that the administrations of municipalities of the republic need to be more active in establishing direct contacts with wholesalers and suppliers, in turn, the republican authorities are ready to provide assistance and assistance in this matter.
