In Sevastopol, in the area of the Mekenzievy mountains, the soil is being prepared for the autumn planting of a young forest. With the help of heavy equipment, the site is leveled and stones are removed. Previously, an abandoned garden was located on the site, now, according to the reforestation project, more than 22 thousand coniferous and deciduous trees will be planted on this area.
On the site, work is underway on deep loosening and plowing of the field to a depth of 30 cm. Within a few months, this site will undergo three soil cultivation followed by planting of forest crops, — The press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the production department of the directorate of specially protected natural areas and forestry Tatyana Kryvenko.
