More than three thousand Crimean teenagers will work this summer
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On June 1, the work season for teenage labor groups started in the Republic of Crimea. These teams unite schoolchildren and students of secondary vocational educational institutions under 18 years of age who want to work during the holiday period, in their free time from school.
The labor legislation of the Russian Federation imposes restrictions on employers when hiring minors. Shorter working hours, restrictions on types of activities. This has led to many employers trying to avoid hiring underage teenagers. However, given the growing shortage of seasonal staff in the leisure and hospitality, trade and service sectors, as well as in agriculture, many employers are reconsidering their position on accepting minors. Additional incentives for hiring minors are also provided at the legislative level.
This year, labor teams of teenagers and labor teams of high school students in Crimea unite more than three thousand students, most of whom will be employed in the summer. The main areas of work where teenagers will work cover the service sector, trade, animation activities within the framework of children’s health, as well as agriculture. In addition, teenagers will actively take part in the improvement of populated areas and help teachers in the work of summer camps and work and recreation camps operating on the basis of schools. This will allow schoolchildren to gain their first official work experience.
Recently, Crimean labor groups of teenagers have been actively developing both in labor volunteering and in realizing themselves in work activities in their free time from school. In the spring, labor teams of teenagers, together with student teams, showed an excellent performance in improving the monuments of the Great Patriotic War, cleaning the territories of mass graves, putting in order the public gardens and Victory parks, thereby making their contribution to preserving the memory of the heroic history of our country. Thanks to labor volunteerism, schoolchildren have united into work teams, which are now more in demand among employers than ever. I am sure that with their work the TOPs will make an increasing contribution to the development of Crimea and the formation of themselves as true patriots and citizens of their country every year! – notes the head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups Vladimir Kaidansky.
On Children’s Day, the commanders of teenage labor teams were given vouchers to work sites where the children will work in the summer. Over the past three years, this award ceremony has become a good tradition for schoolchildren and college students who want to work in the summer for the benefit of the Republic of Crimea.
This year we are paying special attention not only to the numerical growth of labor teams of teenagers and labor teams of high school students, but also to the high-quality training of the command staff of these teams. This year, for the first time, the thematic session “Work is Cool!” took place. On the basis of the Scarlet Sails Children’s Health Center, a training school for the command staff of teenage labor detachments was held, which made it possible to prepare more than a hundred commanders and commissars of TOPs for effective work in the summer. I am sure that we are only at the beginning of the journey when teenage labor finds its place in the economy of the region and in the economy of the country. But the desire of the guys to work and earn money is the main indicator that this area will actively develop, – notes Arina Mironova, head of the teenage labor teams at the headquarters of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian North Ossetia.
