More than three thousand participants of the 6th shift will congratulate Artek on its 99th anniversary

On May 28-29, the “One Hundred Years of Dear Childhood” shift starts at Artek, dedicated to the birthday of the International Children’s Center. On June 16, more than three thousand children from all regions of Russia and other countries will congratulate the Land of Childhood on its 99th anniversary. The shift at the Artek Medical Center will last until June 17-18.

A special, unique shift dedicated to Artek’s birthday is starting. In 1925, Zinoviy Solovyov and Fyodor Shishmarev created a real miracle. And for almost 100 years, every child who comes to the Land of Childhood has touched this miracle. As part of the shift, children will get acquainted with the traditions and values ​​of Artek, which have become part of the Artek culture, formed over the long history of the center. Also, together we will become participants in the celebration of Russia Day. The events will introduce children to the diversity of cultural traditions and folk customs of our country. Of course, we will also talk about the work of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, his contribution to the development of our culture. But the most important thing is that in 21 days, guys from various regions of Russia and other countries will become true friends,” said Artek director Konstantin Fedorenko.

During the shift, Artek residents will take part in educational and ceremonial events dedicated to the 99th anniversary of Artek. The shift program includes traditional events, as well as activities that reveal the broad theme of the year in Russia and in Artek — the Year of the Family, 225 years since the birth of A.S. Pushkin, the activities of the First Movement.

As part of the shift, events are planned dedicated to Children’s Day, International Friends Day, the themed “Day of Firsts,” presentations of flagship projects of the First Movement, the themed Day “Create. Inspire. Create.» A large-scale program will take place on Russia Day. The culmination of the shift will be the celebration of Artek’s birthday.

JUNE 1ST. On Children’s Day there will be a themed day “Day of Firsts”. There will be ceremonial assemblies at children’s camps. Artek residents will take part in the running quiz “Moving Up!”, the design session “If you’re not creative, then why?”, the collective creative activity “What are the First Doing?”: The First Are Beneficial, and a dance flash mob. On this day, a teleconference will connect Artek with VDNKh, where the Festival of the First Movement will take place. And the guests of the International Children’s Center will be popular musicians — members of the group «Intonation», who will perform for Artek residents.

2 JUNE. On this day there will be a presentation of the flagship projects of the First Movement. As part of the presentation of the flagship project “Marching Movement,” a “Class Meeting” will take place with traveler Konstantin Merzhoev. And the presentation of the flagship project “Young People of the First” will be held in the format of a “Class Meeting” with underwater archaeologist Viktor Vakhoneev. The projects “First Aid”, “Calling the First”, “Keepers of History” and others will also be presented.

JUNE 6. The 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin will be celebrated in Artek with events within the framework of Pushkin Day. There will be an educational and educational project “What’s in my name for you” (quizzes, games, quests for knowledge of the biography of Pushkin and his works), a screening of the play “Song of the Prophetic Oleg”, as well as a poetic flash mob evening “Artek” reading Pushkin.”

JUNE 7. Day of remembrance, pride and glory. On this day, there will be an excursion trip to the “Red” Concentration Camp Memorial, “Lessons of Courage” will be held with participants of the North Military District, a screening of the film “Artek’s Temper” will take place, and memory events will be held in children’s camps.

JUNE 8. Artek residents will take part in an event dedicated to the 240th anniversary of the formation of the prosecutor’s office in Crimea.

JUNE 9 – International Friends Day. Artek residents, together with veterans of the International Children’s Center, will take part in evenings around the fire “When Artek Sings.” There will also be a concert of artistic groups “Commonwealth” — for friends!”

ON JUNE 11, a teleconference will unite Artek and the II International Forum of Ministers of Education “Shaping the Future”. 100 children will contact the forum participants.

12 – 16 JUNE. The International Children’s Center will host the “One Hundred Years of Dear Childhood” Festival. Every day of the festival will be filled with bright, interesting events.

12 JUNE. On Russia Day, many events are planned as part of the “Hospitable Russia” holiday. There will be a line “I am proud of you, Russia!”, a memorial event on the Alley of Artek Heroes, a concert “Glory and Pride of Russia”, an educational and game program “Russian Compound”, an action “I am a citizen of Russia”, an intellectual game “Know ours! «, gastrofestival «Russia tastes», thematic extras «Forward, Russia!».

ON JUNE 13 the themed day “Create. Inspire. Create.» Children will take part in “World of My Hobbies” hobby clubs, creative competitions, and master classes. The play “The Ballad of Hate and Love” and the festival “Do Like Artek” will be held.

JUNE 14. Artek residents will demonstrate their skills at a large-scale Sports Festival, and will also become spectators at the “Silver Trumpets of the Black Sea” concert.

Children will also take part in the Artek conference: dialogue for peace and development.” The work of the sections “Historical Truth”, “Education and Science”, “Bridges of Friendship” is planned. During the shift, Artek residents will take part in environmental events, visit children’s art studios, as well as music, sports, tourism and educational activities; will master the programs of specialized teams. In addition, Artek residents will visit various museums, get acquainted with the history of the hero city of Sevastopol and become spectators of the large-scale play “Griffin”.
