CrimeaPRESS reports:
Many bright, solemn events celebrate the Day of Reunification with Russia in Sevastopol and the Crimea. March 18, 2014 is the most important day in modern history: it was then that a fateful treaty was signed, according to which two new subjects became part of the Russian Federation: the federal city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea. In honor of the ninth anniversary of this significant event, an international motor rally was held on the peninsula, which has already become traditional. It is held annually by the Night Wolves motorcycle club. The patriotic action brought together motorcyclists and drivers from different parts of our country, as well as neighboring countries.
The run started in Simferopol. The meeting place with the Sevastopol participants was appointed on Sapun Gora. There, two motorcycles of the emergency response group of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol joined the convoy. In the Hero City, the route ran through a number of historical sights, iconic and picturesque places. We also visited the territory in the Gasfort Mountains area. There, everyone started the second stage of the action: planting young trees on the alley «Russian Forest». The action became deeply symbolic: its purpose is to remind that the prosperity of Russia, the present and future of our great country is in the hands of its people. Representatives of the leadership of the Sevastopol rescue department took part in the landscaping of the natural area— noted in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.
The festive patriotic program was enriched by a concert with the participation of famous artists, including the famous singer, songwriter and public figure Yulia Chicherina.
