With the participation of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol, a «Garden of Memory» was laid in the park named after Kombat Neustroev

The international action «Garden of Memory» was held in several regions of Russia on March 18. The main events within its framework unfolded in Sevastopol. The goal of the project is to plant millions of trees as a sign of respect for the feat of the participants in the Great Patriotic War and the special military operation.

The solemn opening ceremony of the action took place in the park named after Kombat Neustroev. The idea was supported not by word, but by deed, by representatives of the region’s leadership, local volunteers, public foresters, and ordinary citizens. Among the activists are twenty employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol. They planted young cypress trees in the selected area— reported the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.

The project is held under the patronage of the Presidential Grants Fund on the initiative of the ANO «Garden of Memory», the all-Russian public movements «Volunteers of Victory» and «Volunteers of the Forest», the Fund for the Memory of Victory commanders. The activities are also supported by the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and the Federal Forestry Agency. It is planned that in 2023 the action will cover 89 regions of Russia.
