In Kerch, the city court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a 53-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under clause “z”, part 2, article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm).

The court found that a man living in the same apartment with his brother, on one day in January 2023, angry that he could not find the TV remote control, stabbed his brother once in the shoulder area with a kitchen knife, after which he went to bed. The next day, the convict’s brother independently sought medical help, but the resulting damage to the right radial nerve resulted in 40% disability,” the prosecutor’s office revealed details of “high fraternal relations.”

The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 4 years and 2 months of imprisonment to be served in a maximum security correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
