Several laboratories in Crimea at once reduced the price of PCR testing for a new coronavirus infection over the past two weeks — after the last inspection of the Popular Front and a report to the President about inflated prices in the regions of the country. At the same time, one of the laboratories immediately reduced the price by % — now residents of Crimea can take the test for 900 rubles. The Popular Front continues to monitor the cost of PCR testing in Russia. The second check showed a downward trend in prices in a number of regions, but so far not all medical organizations, private and public, have reduced fees.
We reported to the President two weeks ago about the situation around the cost of PCR tests and once every two weeks we check about 500 laboratories. There is a downward trend, — says the head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front, Mikhail Kuznetsov.
In early February, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, instructed the prosecutors of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to check the validity of the cost of carrying out laboratory tests using the PCR method in the laboratories of medical institutions and centers, including private ones, as well as the prices for test systems in the pharmacy chain.
Two weeks ago in Crimea, experts from the Popular Front checked the cost of PCR testing in several laboratories in Simferopol, Yalta and Kerch. The cost of a standard test with a result in a day varied from 1148 to 1700 rubles. And urgent testing with a quick result turned out to be an order of magnitude more expensive. The results of the monitoring were presented by the public to the Crimean authorities.
During the control raid, representatives of the Popular Front recorded a decrease in prices in the laboratories of «Gemotest» in the amount of 100 rubles. At the same time, in one of the other laboratories, the price increased by 200 rubles, and the highest of the identified prices for standard testing with the result in a day remained the same — 1700 rubles.
