More than 750 participants of the free legal aid system took part in the video conference format. Among others, the event was attended by representatives of the Federal Notary Chamber and the vice-president of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol, Maxim Yurchenko.
Maxim Beskhmelnitsyn noted that legal assistance to SVO participants and members of their families has already been provided in more than 168 thousand cases.

Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivileva noted that over almost 10 months of work, the fund received about 72 thousand requests for legal assistance.
We fruitfully cooperate with the Russian Ministry of Justice and its territorial bodies in every region of the country. Our clients receive free legal assistance and can quickly resolve all issues,” Tsivileva emphasized.
She asked to strengthen this work in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions in terms of interaction with lawyers and notary chambers.
The meeting participants discussed:
- the possibility of securing at the federal level the right of SVO participants and members of their families to judicial representation;
- expanding the provision of free legal assistance, including issues of employment and placement of children in educational institutions.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Boris Chernyshov expressed his readiness to consider these proposals from the Russian Ministry of Justice at meetings of the relevant State Duma committees.
Director of the Department for Development and Regulation of Legal Aid and Legal Services of the Ministry of Justice of Russia Roman Ryaby noted that the Ministry of Justice has developed a draft order establishing a uniform amount of benefits when applying for notarial acts for persons participating in the SVO and their families.
