On the roads of Sevastopol this weekend will carefully identify violators of traffic rules

The State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol will take a number of preventive measures over the weekend aimed at curbing gross violations of traffic rules. According to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, on Saturday, traffic inspectors will conduct a raid «Drunk driver», on Sunday — «Overtaking».

Recall that if a driver is detected with signs of intoxication, both alcoholic and narcotic, he faces a fine in the amount of 30 thousand rubles with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of one and a half to two years .

As part of the preventive measure «Overtaking», the police will use the method of covert patrols in order to identify drivers who have violated the rules for entering the oncoming traffic lane, for which administrative legislation provides for a penalty in the form of a fine of five thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles funds for a period of four to six months , — noted in the traffic police.

It should be noted that for 7 months of the current year in Sevastopol, 937 drivers in a state of intoxication and 519 drivers who violated the rules of safe overtaking were identified.

In addition, since the beginning of the year, 2 people died and 28 were injured due to the fault of drunk motorists, also 2 people died and 28 were injured due to driving to the lane of oncoming traffic in violation of traffic rules.

The State traffic inspectorate warns that the preventive measures «Drunk driver» and «Overtaking» are carried out on the roads of Sevastopol regularly.
