On the southern coast of Crimea, the storm destroyed the embankments of Miskhor, Alupka, Foros and Gaspra
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the southern coast of Crimea, the wave height reached 5-6 meters. In Greater Yalta, the storm destroyed at least the embankments of four resort villages — Miskhor, Alupka, Foros, and Gaspra. The head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, spoke about this.
In Koreiz, the Rusalka embankment was severely damaged. Railings, lanterns, benches were washed away, and a lot of pebbles were washed up. Work is also underway to connect to electricity. About 500 utility employees are involved in cleaning Yalta. We restore order in the areas where signals come from— Pavlenko said.
Over the past 24 hours, the Yalta EDDS received 309 messages and requests.
Many fallen trees caused power outages in several areas. In particular, on Bolshevik, Timiryazev, Khalturin, Gorky, Tavricheskaya, Krasnoarmeyskaya, Kirov, as well as in Simeiz, Alupka, Stroygorodok, Gorny, Gaspra. There is temporarily no heating in 5 apartment buildings in Tyoplya Balka (95 subscribers) — restoration of gas supply to the boiler room will begin during daylight hours. There is also no heat on Mukhina, 6. The roofs on Kirov and Gurzuf are damaged. A dry cargo barge broke loose in the Cargo Port. Cars were damaged due to falling trees in Livadia and Gurzuf,” listed the head of the Yalta administration.
Flooding in the basement of a house on Gurzufskoe Highway, the road to Umeltsev in Massandra, and Krasnokamenka is in the works.
Work is also underway in Gurzuf (Artekovskaya, Podvoiskaya, Leningradskaya), where about 200 subscribers are disconnected from gas supply (the security system has tripped). The services began starting up the gas. We are also working on other addresses where there are spot heat outages.
