One person died in an accident on the roads of Sevastopol last week, another 17 were injured

Last week, 9 accidents occurred on the roads of Sevastopol, in which 1 person died (about this accident — HERE) and received injuries of varying severity, including four minors: 3 pedestrians and 1 cyclist.

In the first accident, a drunk driver hit two underage pedestrians who were on the sidewalk. In the second case, in the yard of an apartment building, a 9-year-old boy was run over, who ran out onto the roadway because of a standing vehicle. In the third accident, an 8-year-old cyclist drove onto an unregulated pedestrian crossing, which led to a fall on the roadway in front of a nearby car , the Sevastopol State traffic inspectorate told about an accident involving children.

In addition, during the week, the traffic police officers revealed 26 administrative offenses, including the driver was driving while intoxicated , 2 of which repeatedly, for which criminal liability is provided, 26 drivers violated the rules for driving a pedestrian crossing, 26 drove into the oncoming lane in violation of traffic rules, 43 pedestrians crossed the carriageway in the wrong place.

In the coming week, traffic inspectors will carry out preventive measures «Bachus», «Carrier», «Lighthouse», «Crossroads» and «Pedestrian crossing» on the roads of Sevastopol.
