Over 3,000 World War II munitions destroyed in Sevastopol this year
KrymPRESS reports:
Did you find one like in the photo? Urgently call the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Since the beginning of the year in Sevastopol, divers and pyrotechnicians of the emergency department have found and neutralized 3 398 ammunition. These are 23 air bombs, 450 artillery shell, 09 mortar mines, 398 hand grenades, engineering ammunition and 450 explosive items of other types.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol recalls the rules of conduct when objects similar to ammunition from the Great Patriotic War are found:
If you notice a suspicious object under water or on land that may be explosive, immediately report it to the EMERCOM of Russia at the number “09″! In this case, sending messages on the social networks of the Main Directorate is inefficient: the agency’s accounts serve to inform the public about the activities of firefighters and rescuers, they are not designed to work in emergency calls mode.
Just call
It is also important to remember:
- never approach or touch explosive objects — even a slight shedding of earth or an accidentally fallen stone can lead to detonation;
- do not manipulate the ammunition in any way, do not act on it with fire, mechanically or chemically;
- if an explosive object is found during earthworks, immediately stop them;
- before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, install warning signs or a fence made of improvised materials and inform others about the danger.
Be careful!
