The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea draws attention: cases of fires of dry vegetation have become more frequent! During the period from September 8 to 10 alone, Crimean firefighters eliminated 28 fires of dry vegetation.

On September 9, the operational console of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea” received a signal about the fire of dry vegetation in the area of ​​Mount Tele-Oba (Feodosiya Municipality). Firefighters from PCH Koktebel, PCH Ordzhonikidze, PCH Shchebetovka and PCH Primorsky State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Guard of the Republic of Crimea», rescuers of the Feodosia emergency rescue team of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS», as well as employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea were sent to the scene of the incident. The work of the operational headquarters was organized on the basis of the Main Directorate.

Upon arrival of fire crews, it was determined that there was a fire in dry vegetation in an open area. Firefighters quickly laid hose lines and, using firecrackers and Ermak backpacks, began to extinguish the fire. The firefighting effort was complicated by the difficult terrain and strong, gusty winds that constantly changed its direction. As a result of the prompt actions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was localized at 20:00— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.

The fire was completely extinguished on September 10 at 15:00 on an area of ​​14 hectares. In total, 104 people and 28 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. From the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea: 19 people and 5 pieces of equipment.
