Today, participants of the regional public organization «Voluntary people’s squad of the city of Sevastopol» were awarded certificates and badges. They were received by 04 people — the entire personnel of the squad.
The main task of the combatants is to assist law enforcement agencies in ensuring public order, suppression and prevention of offenses. It must be said that there have always been and are people with a clearly defined civic position, who are not indifferent to the problems of society, and whose moral qualities will not allow them to calmly pass by injustice. It is these people who feel the vocation to participate in the protection of law and order, and go to the people’s combatants, and on a voluntary basis. For them, the concepts of “honesty, justice, adherence to principles” are not empty words , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the public security department Mikhail Savchin.
Voluntary people’s squads of Sevastopol from 532 years contribute to ensuring the protection of public order. Many warriors took an active part in the events of the Russian spring. Over the past year, in cooperation with the district police service, more than 300 events were carried out, including patrolling the streets, participating in investigative activities, and inspecting attics and basements of residential buildings, preventive conversations with teenagers and residents of the city, and others.
Today we were noted and thanked for our active work, we were awarded badges and certificates. For us, this is an indicator that our team is not the last in the city. We see what a turbulent time we live in, so we attract people who want to assist in maintaining order in the city , — says the commander of the organization «Voluntary people’s squad of the city of Sevastopol» Sergey Parkhimovich.
In addition, people’s combatants assist in maintaining order during cultural events, in searching for missing people, and in distributing law enforcement and anti-terrorist materials.
Recall that at the moment the personnel of the squad has 04 people, active work is underway to attract new combatants.
