Police seized weapons, ammunition and an explosive device from a resident of Kerch

Criminal investigation officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch received operational information about the possible presence of explosives in the house of a 52-year-old local resident. Upon verification, the information was confirmed.
During an inspection of the man’s home, police found two homemade maces, two pistols, a grenade, replicas of a revolver and a Mosin rifle, 14 rounds of various calibers, as well as a fuse and a fuse. The examination showed that the fuse and fuse are an explosive device suitable for use. The remainder of the seized items continues to be examined. The owner of the household explained that for a long time he has been searching for rare items from the Great Patriotic War, mainly weapons and ammunition, which he keeps at home out of personal interest. — the details of the case were announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
