Quit smoking! Crimea took first place in the ranking of cigarillo consumption in Russia

In the fourth quarter of 2023 Republic Crimea took first place in the list of Russian regions in terms of consumption volume cigarillos, according to the state labeling system “Honest Sign”. During this period, Crimea demonstrated the highest average quarterly consumption of cigarillos among Russian regions, reaching 1,575 conventional packs per thousand adult residents.

The top 5 regions also included:

• Sevastopol – 1,270 standard packages;
• Lipetsk region – 1,205 standard packages;
• Krasnoyarsk region – 939 standard packages;
• Oryol Region – 905 standard packages.

Cigarillos take third place in popularity among the residents of Crimea among various types of tobacco products. In the fourth quarter of 2023, 493 thousand standard packages of these products were sold in the region. During the period under review, the most popular tobacco products in Crimea were cigarettes (30 million standard packs), with sticks in second place (3.1 million standard packs). From October to December last year, Crimeans spent almost 133 million rubles on cigarillos,” noted the press service of the state labeling system “Honest Sign”.
