Official: Crimea's healthcare system will continue to be modified

The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, together with the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov, visited a number of healthcare institutions in the Republic of Crimea.

Field work began at the Crimean Republican Oncology Clinical Dispensary named after V.M. Efetov» in the city of Simferopol. Taking into account the Kerch branch, the institution is designed for 562 beds. In addition to the new gamma camera, other equipment will begin operating here in the near future — another linear accelerator, which will allow patients to receive better medical care. In addition, Mikhail Murashko and Sergei Aksyonov assessed the progress of construction of a new building of the day hospital of the oncology clinic.

Next, we examined the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Simferopol City Children’s Clinical Hospital», the structural unit «Medical Ophthalmological Center of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Republican Clinical Hospital named after. ON THE. Semashko», State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Simferopol Polyclinic No. 2». The heads of the institutions conducted sightseeing tours, spoke about the principles of work and presented reports on the activities of their medical organizations.

Then the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation and the Head of Crimea visited the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Republican Clinical Hospital named after. ON THE. Semashko”, where in particular they assessed the work of the Regional Vascular Center, general intensive care unit and other departments.

According to Mikhail Murashko, the modernization of primary health care in the republic is proceeding successfully, and the federal funds provided for these purposes are used quite effectively: a large number of medical facilities are being built and repaired in the shortest possible time, an information system has been introduced and used, and equipment is being updated.

At the same time, the Russian Minister of Health noted the insufficient level of communication between doctor and patient and recommended that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea identify and take measures to strengthen trust and improve relationships between patients and doctors.

In addition, Mikhail Murashko noted the outdated material and technical base of a number of Crimean medical organizations, promising to evaluate the possibilities for solving this problem at the federal level.

In turn, Sergei Aksyonov summed up the general results of the process of modernizing the republic’s healthcare system and outlined plans for the future.

Currently, there are about 2,300 medical buildings and structures in Crimea. Over ten years, 730 buildings were completely modernized; 900 repairs were completed; about 300 medical and obstetric stations and medical outpatient clinics were built; More than 200 ambulances arrived; approximately 7,600 units of medical equipment were updated.

All this became possible thanks to the support of our President and the decisions that he made and is making together with the Federal Ministry of Health. Much has been done, but much more remains to be done. We are now exploring the possibility of purchasing new equipment, including “heavy” equipment for the oncology clinic, so that Crimeans and residents of new regions are provided with the highest quality caresaid the Head of Crimea.

In addition, work continues to compile a list of facilities that require major repairs and additional equipment in the first place, and issues of eliminating the personnel shortage are also being resolved.

Sergey Aksyonov listed the projects that are planned to be implemented in the near future. Among them: the construction of a city hospital in Feodosia with 450 beds, reconstruction of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Specialized Spinal Sanatorium named after Academician N.N. Burdenko», a children’s clinic in Dzhankoy, a maternity hospital building in Yevpatoria, installation of 70 first aid stations. Options for repairing clinics are being explored.

In conclusion, Sergei Aksyonov thanked the Federal Government and the relevant Ministry represented by Mikhail Murashko for their constant support and assistance in implementing projects to provide Crimeans and guests of the republic with quality medical care.

Also, Mikhail Murashko, together with Sergei Aksenov, presented awards to Crimean specialists: by order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation announced the Gratitude of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation to medical workers of the Republic of Crimea for conscientious work.
