Residents of Sevastopol wrote more than 2,000 letters to veterans and participants in the special operation

On Victory Day, Sevastopol residents joined the Field Mail campaign and wrote more than 2,000 letters to fighters and veterans.
Today, on Victory Day, Sevastopol residents are again writing letters to our fighters — residents of the patriotic capital do not wait for the holidays to say words of gratitude to our defenders, letters from our city to the front go regularly, but today the words of the townspeople are imbued with special pride and special gratitude— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Vice-Governor Igor Mikheev.
The «Field Post» collected letters to veterans — they will be delivered to the addressees by the volunteers of the Victory, and to the participants of the NWO — they will be handed over through the headquarters of «We are together — Sevastopol».
Today, May 9, on the Day of the Great Victory, Victory volunteers traditionally launched the Field Mail campaign. Despite the weather, one can feel the unity of the inhabitants of our Sevastopol, everyone — young and old — is suitable to write words of gratitude to the participants of the special military operation, veterans of the Great Patriotic War— shared Victory volunteer Maria Kuzina.
In addition, as part of the St. George Ribbon campaign, volunteers distributed about 70,000 ribbons to Sevastopol residents in a few days. Our city also joined the All-Russian action «Red Carnation»: silver volunteers of Sevastopol sold 600 small badges for a nominal fee — symbols of memory and gratitude to the heroes. The proceeds go to support veterans.
In total, more than 200 volunteers took part in the events.
