CrimeaPRESS reports:
Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the city of Sevastopol I.G. Kupchenko met with 9th grade students of Ecotech+ School and told the children about the role of taxes in the life of modern society.
Let us clarify that the open lesson is organized as part of a special program of events dedicated to the 220 anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of Finance of Russia. Schoolchildren gained knowledge about the basics of tax legislation: the functions and significance of taxes, their types, and the role of budget revenues for the state. I.G. Kupchenko recalled that taxes are the main source of budget replenishment and are spent on the maintenance of schools, hospitals, clinics, kindergartens, as well as on environmental protection and, most importantly, on the security of our country.
Lively interest, according to the press service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Sevastopol, was caused by information about the possibilities of using the Internet services of the Federal Tax Service of Russia to find out up-to-date information and pay taxes. Pupils took an active part in the dialogue, asking questions of interest. In order to consolidate the reviewed materials, the students were given information leaflets.
I.G. Kupchenko noted:
The children received knowledge that will be useful to them later in adult life and are designed to help form a basic system of concepts in the field of financial literacy.
