Sergei Aksyonov met with Soviet and Russian pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Titov. The cosmonaut presented the Head of Crimea with a commemorative watch from the pilot-cosmonauts of the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yu.A. Gagarin.
Sergei Aksyonov thanked Vladimir Titov for the gift and noted his participation in the patriotic education of youth:
You are an example for the younger generation. Your direct dialogue with young Crimeans, supported by enormous experience, helps increase their interest in astronautics.
In turn, Vladimir Titov expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Republic of Crimea for many years of joint work and assistance in organizing training in Crimea.
