Sergei Shoigu — about undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation today made a statement about repelling attempts to attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine in different sectors of the front and about a night terrorist act — undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. He clarified why the enemy took this crazy (at first glance) step.
Tonight, the Kiev regime committed another terrorist crime: the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was blown up, which led to the flooding of large areas. The purpose of these actions, according to available data, is as follows. Having not achieved success in offensive operations, in order to strengthen its potential, the enemy intends to transfer units and equipment from the Kherson direction to the area of u200bu200bits offensive operations, thus significantly weakening its positions in the Kherson direction. By the way, the enemy has begun to build defensive positions on the right bank of the Dnieper, which indicates his intention to go on the defensive here.
In order to prevent offensive actions of the Russian army on this sector of the front, the Kiev regime carried out a sabotage, in fact, a terrorist act, which led to the flooding of large areas and will have severe and long-term environmental consequences.
In addition, according to available data, the discharge of water from the Dnepropetrovsk HPP has increased significantly, which leads to even more flooding of the territories. This fact testifies to a large-scale sabotage planned in advance by the Kyiv regime.— said the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.
What is happening now in the Kherson region.
Today, during the day, the evacuation of the population began from the settlements of the Novokakhovsk urban district. First, this affected the villages of Korsunka, Dnepryany, then several other settlements. After dinner, alarming reports came in about the situation in the city of Alyoshki. It, according to the head of the regional government Andrey Alekseenko, was completely flooded.
Evacuation of people from the flooded Aleshki is possible only on special equipment. On the spot, we discussed the situation with the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, Ivan Pavlenko, who is coordinating the rescue operation here. We are sending all available off-road trucks to Alyoshki — Urals and KamAZ trucks. Rescue boats of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are already being brought from Crimea. Communication problems complicate the situation here as well. In total, more than 100 buses have been assembled in coastal areas for the evacuation of people. In safe settlements, 5,000 places are being prepared to accommodate the evacuees. As we fill up, we will open new PVRs— Alekseenko wrote in his Telegram-channel.
The head of the government of the Kherson region added that the situation in Aleshki is complicated by the fact that forests caught fire near the city after artillery shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
