Sergey Aksyonov outlined measures for 2024 to prevent emergencies in Crimea

The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in a meeting of the board of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea via videoconference.
During the event, the results of the activities of the territorial subsystem of the Republic of Crimea of the unified state system for the prevention and response of emergency situations, the implementation of civil defense measures, ensuring fire safety and the safety of people on water bodies in Crimea in 2023 were summed up. In addition, tasks for the current year were identified and set.
Sergei Aksenov expressed gratitude to the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the work done in 2023:
From all the trials that befell us last year, including the November disaster, when almost half a million people were left without power supply, we emerged with honor and dignity. This became possible thanks to the coherence of the federal and republican services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which quickly and efficiently fulfill all their functional and official responsibilities.
The Head of the Republic noted that the tasks for 2024 still include measures for fire protection, strengthening of banks and preparation of hydraulic structures during flood periods.
Sergei Aksyonov also expressed hope that all instructions given by President Vladimir Putin and the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, Alexander Kurenkov, will be carried out in full.
