The government of Sevastopol agreed on the redistribution of funds to the Department of Digital Development for updating software to prevent computer attacks as part of the 12 December of the All-Russian Day of Reception of Citizens. The department was allocated an additional 7.5 million rubles. This is reported by «New Sevastopol».
The Administration of the President strongly recommended that we update our software , — explained the need for additional expenses, Director of the Department Alexandra Osipova.
According to her, the adoption of these measures will ensure “ monitoring of the threats of computer attacks in order to identify them, prevent and eliminate the consequences, as well as ensure the rights of citizens who come to a personal appointment at any of the reception bodies state authorities or local self-government bodies ”.
The information resources of the authorities of Sevastopol this year were repeatedly subjected to massive hacker attacks. In July, the Department of Digital Development of Sevastopol was allocated additionally , 7 million rubles for solving top-priority tasks of ensuring information security.
