Sevastopol authorities: restrictions on obtaining support for small and medium-sized businesses are easing

Restrictions on receiving state support are being eased for small and medium-sized businesses. The relevant law was initiated by the Government of the Russian Federation and signed by President Vladimir Putin. The document is published on the official portal of legal information. Previously, small and medium-sized businesses could be denied an application for state support if less than three years ago, when receiving such assistance, they violated the procedure and conditions for its provision.

At the moment, the main policy of the state is to reduce and eliminate many regulatory requirements for business. This decision is an additional step aimed at simplifying business operations and access to regional and federal support measures in the current economic situation. The law provides for a differentiated approach. So, if the violation was minor — for example, technical errors were made in reporting — then there are two options for relaxing restrictions. In the first one, an entrepreneur can get access to support, in the second, the period of validity of restrictions is reduced to one year. And only in case of serious violations — if we are talking about misuse of budgetary funds or deliberate distortion of data on one’s activities — the limitation period of three years remains.
