Sevastopol police: how not to become a victim of the fraudulent scheme “Your relative got into an accident”?
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Almost daily, attackers call elderly residents of Sevastopol, convince them that their relatives were responsible for the accident and demand that they transfer money in order to avoid criminal liability. Unfortunately, gullible pensioners often comply with their demands and give away their last money, thinking that they are helping their loved ones.
On account of the Sevastopol police, there is already more than one detained swindler, but the most important role is played by explanatory work among older citizens. To this end, the cadets of the internal affairs bodies, together with the staff of the juvenile affairs unit and the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, with the support of the representative of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs Natalya Tereshchenko, prepared a public service advertisement to combat remote fraud. Anna Shapovalova, a student of the cadet class of secondary school No. 6, clearly and clearly told about how not to become a victim of scammers to her grandmother and her friends, — noted in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.
