Sevastopol resident Ilya Orel is among the top five external pilots of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry system
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Last week, the final of the competition for the title of the best external pilot of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations took place in Noginsk. Operators of departmental unmanned aerial vehicles from all over the country competed in it. Previously, the participants passed a strict selection process in the departments. The strongest fought for victory.
The three-day program consisted of several stages: flights on a simulator, testing of theoretical knowledge and presentation of participants’ portfolios, and a set of practical exercises. The skill of operating unmanned aircraft systems was assessed — indicators of speed, accuracy and quality of task performance. The competitors, controlling a drone, covered routes, maneuvered, delivered cargo to the site, found a mock victim and provided assistance to him.
The leader in the competition was a participant from the Volgograd region, but captain of the internal service Ilya Orel, head of the group of robotic equipment and unmanned aerial systems of the Specialized detachment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, also showed a decent result, showing himself especially clearly in practical tests. In total, almost 800 external pilots of the emergency department fought for victory. Ilya entered the top five, winning 4th place in the final. Congratulations to him on such an impressive result! — reported the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.
