This year, Sevastopol will become another city that has joined the Clean Games public movement. It has existed for almost ten years: the first team competition in cleaning up natural areas from garbage and separating waste was held in 2014 in St. Petersburg. This fall, an exciting game with prizes, where participants look for artifacts, solve environmental puzzles, collect and separate garbage, receiving points for this, will also take place in Sevastopol. Everyone who is not indifferent to environmental problems will be able to take part in the Clean Games. Now the acceptance of applications for internships has started: representatives of youth and volunteer organizations are invited to participate.
According to the organizers of the Clean Games — ANO «Center for the Formation of Civil Culture» and ANO «RVB Dolina», the internship will be held in the summer. Federal experts will be invited to conduct it. The internship program is designed for two days: it includes a theoretical part, training in working with IT tools and a test game for interns.
After the completion of the training part of the internship, a competition of projects for the preparation and holding of the Clean Games will be held among its participants, the best of which will be selected to organize the games of the tournament, and they will also receive a basic set of materials for holding the Clean Games as a prize and will be able to create their own organizational team. And in the fall, the tournament «Small Cup of Sevastopol Purity» will be held. It will take place at three venues in different parts of the city. We are waiting for a real holiday game that will cross out all ideas about boring subbotniks. Sports, creative and intellectual activities will turn garbage collection into an exciting quest.

The Clean Games project has a unique methodology and presents a solution to the problem of garbage collection and environmental protection in a new game format, thanks to which more people are involved in garbage collection willingly and without coercion. If the format of subbotniks often seems like a boring necessity to people, then they go to the Clean Games as an interesting and useful event. The excitement of the competition attracts more and more participants to the events.
Since 2014, the Clean Games have been held in 560 cities and towns in 28 countries. In total, more than 125,000 people participated in the Clean Games, collecting more than 3,400 tons of garbage. Holding the Small Cup of Sevastopol Purity in 2023 will allow young people and residents of the city to become part of a single urban eco-volunteer event, involving them in environmental volunteering and caring for the environment.
